Trinity College Postdoctoral Society

Founded in 2017, Trinity College Postdoctoral Society brings together postdoctoral researchers from different disciplines across Cambridge. Members enjoy a comfortable meeting space with tea and coffee in the Deighton Room, privileges at Trinity, including use of the bar, cafeteria, and College punts, and a full calendar of events throughout the year, at the centre of which are regular Society Formal Dinners.

Welcome from the Fellow for Postdoctoral Affairs, December 2020

Jeremy Butterfield

The College founded the Postdoctoral Society in spring 2017, to help give the University’s community of post-docs more opportunities to meet and talk, within and between disciplines. Since its inception, it has been a strong success—thanks to the energy and initiative of its members, who have organized many enjoyable events, both regular dinners and talks, and one-off events.

Like the rest of the College, the University, and of course wider society, its face-to-face activities have had to be reduced because of the pandemic; this will obviously have to remain so, for a while yet. But we hope for better prospects in the spring of 2021, and we look forward to having, from now on, both new members and renewed memberships. I welcome you warmly to the Society, and I hope that I have the opportunity to meet you personally before long.
